Nicola's Bathroom
Bathrooms / RefurbishmentsThe family bathroom was in need of an update; the intention being to modernise, freshen, lighten and brighten the interior using a cooler palette of colours.
Volume was created by removing a false wall/cupboard adjacent to the existing bath to free up space to allow for the new freestanding bath, and the existing concealed soil pipe and services were re-routed out of sight.
A larger more practical shower enclosure was introduced; it’s shape considered to provide maximum circulation and a new freestanding vanity unit was constructed from a plain grey painted dresser, its wooden top removed and replaced with a more practical quartz surface incorporating an inset basin. The unit was re-painted to compliment the look in an Annie Sloane chalk paint and sealed with wax.
New cost effective dimmable LED lights were installed to replace the low voltage ones and to increase practical lighting levels necessary within the space.
